Genre Research: Action

In this project, we were set to pick and research a genre from Horror, Comedy, Action (etc.). After viewing each of these genres, I decided to pick Action. These conventions consisted of Common lighting, Common Camera Angles, Common Movements, Common Mis En Scene, Elements of Action, Action Film Examples, Sound in Action, Elements I like, and Elements I don't Like. All these conventions researched would then create the slides used in the project as I explained each one by definition while giving examples of them used in different films. My Pitch

Image
Pitch 1 When hanging out with his friend turns to being hunt down by a stranger at his apartment complex, Juan must find a way to survive the night.  Pitch 2 When visiting his hometown after his close friends death, Juan begins to be followed around his apartment complex by a very familiar face that wants to kill him. For the first pitch, I feel that it would be easier to film since I wouldn't need to go into the background of the character but, without this background the character I would be missing his backstory adding more to the character and plot. This problem also contributes to the problem I had in pitch two. Although having a backstory to the character would be good, it would be taking crucial seconds to the film. These few seconds are crucial to the film because I only have 2 minutes of film time and I want to use this time showing the actual plot. This being said, the plot I decided to go with is "When hanging out with his friend turns to being hunt down by a stran...
