Common camera angles in your genre? In the horror genre the most common camera angles are High Angles, Tilted Angles, Close-Shots, and Hand Held. The reason these angles are used in this these types of film is because it creates a sense of suspense and tension making the evilness seem greater.
Common Mis-En-Scene in your genre? Depending on the type of horror film, the Mis-En-Scene varies but, the most common would be the evil presents wearing a costume or mask to hide their identify. This evil presents could also wear regular clothing since the setting could be anywhere, they would want to be in place not drawing attention.
Common Editing in your genre? The common editing involved in a horror genre would a fast pace having cut aways and jump cuts. This is down to create suspense, create mystery, and also scare the audience.
Common sound in your genre? The sound in a horror film all depends on the speed. With fast pace music or sound the film could be trying to scare the viewers while a slow past sound/music could built tension. This is done to change the mood of the viewers by making them anxious of what is about to happen next.
Example Films of your genre? Some examples of horror films are Halloween, Friday the 13th, and The Shining.
What elements of the genre that you like? Some of the elements in the genre of horror that I like are the jump scares that they contain. The reason why jump scares are some of my favorite are because you least expect them, making them fun and surprising.
What elements of the genre do not appeal to you? One element of the genre that I don't appeal to is the resolution that the film has. The reason why I don't appeal towards this is because in most of the films, the resolution could be too quick or even leave the audience confused.
