Starting the Final Task

 My name is Juan Guerrero, I am currently in the 11th grade at Fort Lauderdale High School. I have taken four Aice classes including the classes i'm taking this year. If I pass all my Aice classes this year, I would be reward my Aice diploma. This school year I decided to take Aice Media Studies to explore the process of filming. Currently, I have expected everything from this course, challenging us to create film with including filming techniques like camera angles. So far, I have created 2 videos composing of a commercial and a music video. Now getting close to the end of the school year and near the Aice exams, I have been challenged with creating the final task. In this final task, I am suppose to create the introduction of a film only being the first two minutes of it. For this final task I will be working by myself, noting having any other teammates besides personal friends to be actors in the film. The reason I decided to work by myself is because of the creative liberty I would have. Just like the other projects I have done by myself, I am able to make the them exactly how I envision it without having to consider others problems and creative differences for the film. Having this creative liberty not only allows me to produce the film just like I want it but, also enables to change things as I go through the film even after the finished product. Another reason I choose to decide to work by myself besides including my personal friends is because of the flexibility that I would have with the filming schedule. Having to worry about when we could go and film would not only be stressful by wondering when would be the next time to film but, also effect the time and day we film. This is because some people in the group would be busy on somedays when it would be crucial to film and as actors they could be missing stopping the rest of the team since we would only be able to film scenes that don't include the other actor. One of the biggest reasons why I decided to film by myself is the fact that we our currently in a global pandemic. Covid-19 has stopped many things from happening, even including attending the school campus for a period of time. Having to social distance means that I have to be carful on the people around me, having friends that I know are safe means that it would be easier to film anywhere without being at risk. These are just some of the reasons why I decided to work by myself which ultimately adds up to the thought the it would just be easier for me to do so. Although relying on myself only would be tricky sometimes, I i'm ready to take this final task on and put my creativeness to the test as I to to birth my vision in film.

  Schedule: 3/1/21- 3/2/21:   Actors will revive script and storyboard. This will give the actors time to take in the film and understand what they will do and prepare for their roles. During this time the actors will be able to ask any questions about the film and eliminate any confusion before filming. 3/3/21 All props and costumes will be gathered in order to prepare for filming to begin. This will help as it wouldn't leave me in a rush at the end to get the supplies I need while making sure that I have them without risking a store not having it in stock. 3/4/21- 3/22/21:   The first set of filming will take place. Enhancement in Filming and Editing

Being that this project was the second official filming project I had, their definitely things I changed during and after I finished the project. Although I knew I was happy with the results, there was still for improvement and with the time I had left before the music video was truly due thats what I did. If I felt that a scene should be reshot or edited more thats what I did. By doing this, I would make my film look better as I improved the shots took and the smoothness of the film. I believe making these changes truly helped my film as developed the storyline. One of the main reasons why I decided to change a few scenes is because of how I felt with them. Looking over the film and being "ok" with a scene didn't fit right with me and thats why I decided to change it by redoing them to improve camera quality and camera angles to better fit the screen.
