Enhancement in Filming and Editing

Being that this project was the second official filming project I had, their definitely things I changed during and after I finished the project. Although I knew I was happy with the results, there was still for improvement and with the time I had left before the music video was truly due thats what I did. If I felt that a scene should be reshot or edited more thats what I did. By doing this, I would make my film look better as I improved the shots took and the smoothness of the film. I believe making these changes truly helped my film as developed the storyline. One of the main reasons why I decided to change a few scenes is because of how I felt with them. Looking over the film and being "ok" with a scene didn't fit right with me and thats why I decided to change it by redoing them to improve camera quality and camera angles to better fit the screen. One scene that was effected by this was the close-shot of the eyes as when filmed the camera was centered correctly, either being high up or to low having the film look weird not fully capturing the eyes evenly. This was not the only take having to be redone, another takes redone was the lake scene since it was to dark previously. In the lake scene I decided it was better to record it with the sun out making sure it was bright being able to alter the brightness later. This was important as I had to make sure that the lighting matched through the entirety of the film. By changing these scenes it made the film look more natural and official by eliminating little mistakes. Having redone some of the takes, also meant that some of the editing changed as well. This is because the video was already smoothed out with the original takes having the project finished but, deleting/coping out some takes left choppiness. To fix this choppiness, when inserting the new takes I made sure to look at each other second of the take made matched it up with the next scene making it a clean/smooth switch. Now having reedited the film I was truly able to see the final product of the music video. This final product would officially be the last touches of the music video and nothing else would be changed. With no minor mistakes found I was officially happy with the results and satisfied. In the music video I portrayed the meaning of the song as it described itself and developed a storyline to go with it. Being finished with everything meant that the next time I touch this music video will be the time I publish and post it having the film making process be finished.
