Planning for my Music Video

The next phase of the music video project is the planning stage. I would plan out what I would do for the 'Don't You Worry Child' music video. During this phase, I would write what my props, costumes, location, schedule, and back up plan would be. This would help me later during the project as it would keep an organized schedule on what to do. I would review these steps throughout my project to make sure everything is going as planned. This phase is important as it builds the structure that the music video would soon be.

Props: As of right now the prop I plan on using in the video is a picture frame showing an image of a father and son. This would represent the passing of time. The video would show the son growing up and the father passing away, while the son continues to grow. The picture frame would symbolize the feeling of nostalgia. What the video will try to show is the son remembering the good and bad times he has gone through since his father's passing.

Costume: There will be different costumes used throughout this video. Some costumes featured will be regular clothing and business attire, such as a suit. As the son grows up his attire will reflect his growth in moving from casual clothing to his work place clothing. The clothing will not only represent the son becoming a man, but it will also show the success he has obtained.

Location:  The filming locations for this video are a house and a lake. The house will be used to film scenes where the son has grown up. The lake would be used to show a difficult time in the man's life, where he encountered his first heartbreak.

    Schedule:

By 11/16/2020 I will have researched the different conventions used in music videos.

By 11/17/2020 my plan/outline will be set and it will organize the following phases of the music video.

By 11/20/2020 I will create a story board, showing the different scenes making up the music video.

By 11/30/2020 I will have filmed all shots and takes required to make up the music video.

By 12/03/3030 I will have edited my music video and made the shots transition smoothly.

By 12/07/2020 the final product will be complete and no changes would be needed afterward.

Back-up Plan: If the weather conditions affect the ability to film outside, for the lake scenes, a different route would be taken. Instead of filming at a lake, I would switch the scene to be under a covered area. This would only affect one or two scenes and not the complete project.
